WOOD
Can be painted or stained. However, it will expand or contract
in wet and dry weather, sometimes causing a window to stick.
The wood must be regularly painted, stained requires ongoing
maintenance to preserve it.
ALUMINIUM
Generally, the least expensive windows. Aluminum is a conductor
and is not a good insulator. Aluminum windows are not welded
and therefore are not as durable as vinyl.
VINYL
Generally used as replacement windows because they are made
specially to fit your existing window opening. Vinyl is Strong
and efficient in cold climates. |
